MRI Fellowships at UMI
In keeping with that emphasis and with our close affiliation with the world-renowned University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, we grant fellowship positions each year to talented and highly qualified men and women for the purpose of broadening their skills and providing our referring physicians and patients with the most innovative and current diagnostic perspectives available.
Dr. Hollenberg is Director of the Advanced MRI Fellowship Training Program at the University of Rochester Medical Center. The Fellowship Program has trained 40 Fellows from all over the United States since 1999.
2013 MRI Fellowship
A one-year MRI fellowship program at University Medical Imaging (UMI), the outpatient imaging center of the University of Rochester, will begin in July 2013. Four fellowship positions are offered per year.
More than 18,000 MR exams are conducted at UMI annually, using two 1.5 Tesla and three 3 Tesla High-Definition echoplanar magnets. This fellowship offers advanced training in MRI of the central and peripheral nervous system, musculoskeletal system, and body, as well as MRA of the central nervous system, body, and extremities. Fellows will receive an excellent clinical experience from four full-time faculty who are Neuroradiologists with Certificates of Added Qualification and other full-time faculty with advanced fellowship training in Cross-sectional and Musculoskeletal Imaging. Candidates must be ABR-eligible or certified and have a New York license.
