Now in her tenth year in the field of radiology, Dr. Zayas specializes in Musculoskeletal Imaging and is the newest addition to UMI’s highly experienced staff.

Subsequent to earning her medical degree at the University Of Puerto Rico School Of Medicine, Dr. Zayas completed an Internship at San Juan (PR) City Hospital, and completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She also completed a Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship at University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and is currently an Assistant Professor of Radiology.

Dr. Zayas’s academic research to date has focused on MRI of non-tumoral muscle lesions, and articles authored by Dr. Zayas have appeared in such leading professional publications as Applied Radiology and Surgical Rounds. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology, and is a member in good standing of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Southern Medical Association, and the Society of Skeletal Radiology.
