Dr. Bernstein brings to UMI more than 25 years of radiology experience, with a particular specialized expertise in Neuroradiology.

Currently an Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Rochester Medicine and Dentistry, his broad professional background includes serving at Rochester General Hospital as an Attending Radiologist, Associate Director of the Neuroradiology Section, Director of Rochester Diagnostic Imaging MRI, and Director of the RGH Radiology Residency Program. Dr. Bernstein has also been on the radiology staff at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital Center in Utica, NY, and at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

Dr. Bernstein earned his Medical Degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, after which he completed a Radiology Residency at Rochester General Hospital and a Fellowship in Neuroradiology at SUNY Upstate Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Radiology, he also holds a Certificate of Additional Qualification from that board in the specialty of Neuroradiology.
